Small faults - such as corner bends, light edge wear, slight size reduction on one side, slight folds, minor stains, or part of backflaps missing (etc.) - are likely to happen on covers over 100 years old. These typical signs of age or transportation may not be mentioned in the description but are visible in the scans provided.
Stamps:
Stamps:
We take great care in describing stamp condition. Some classical areas such as Russian Zemstvo or Indian Feudatory States are notorious for common minor faults - rough perforations, thin or fragile paper, poor centring, etc. In such cases - as they are the norm and acceptable - a stamp may be described as "very fine" even if it would be considered lesser condition in a modern issue.
