Moscow 1953 (26 August) - Domestic Registered Airmail 40k stationery envelope with a fine combination of Soviet Definitives 1r, 25k and 20k (2), making up a 2,05 Rubles franking (2 R rate, tariff of 16 September 1948). Sent to South Sakhalin Island at YUZHNO, via the MOSCOW - KHABAROVSK - NIKOLAYEVSK - ALEXANDROVSK SAKHALIN air route. Arrival after only four days "YUZHNI SAKHALIN 30 08 1956". Very Fine.

The 20k pair is the scarce Dark Olive Green shade (Michel Farbenführer 39-7-7), rare on commercial postal article (unpriced in Michel).
