SOVIET UNION 1935: EARLY USAGE OF THE SCARCE 35k ANTI WAR PROPAGANDA

Moscow 1935 (7 January) - Very early use of the scarce 1935 35k carmin Anti War Propaganda, combined with 1930 Graff Zeppelin 40k blue and Children Help 10k brown olive, making up a 85 kopek franking for international airmail to Austria (tariff of 3 May 1932). Signs of censorship mail surveillance, no arrival. Very Fine.

A rare cover, possibly the earliest date recorded of any Anti War Propaganda stamp on cover. The 40k blue perf. 10¾ is also scarce on commercial mail.
