1866, Last Santiago Printing 5 centavos rose-red, an exceptional horizontal strip of three with huge margins, showing parts of eight (!) adjoining stamps, neatly cancelled by bar "CANCELLED" with adjacent red departure "SANTIAGO" to small envelope to "Senor Ministro" to Lima, Peru. Reverse arrival cds "LIMA MAY 67". Correctly prepaid at the 15 centavos double rate under the Peruvian bilateral treaty of 26 September 1866 (domestic double rate 10 centavos, plus additional 5 centavos for sea journey per coastal steamer) A most eye-appealing cover.
